3- Unforeseeable Conditions: Field conditions that could not have been anticipated when the bid was submitted (such as unexpected soil layers).
4- Liquidated Damages: Predetermined amounts imposed on the contractor for delays in completion.
5- Subcontractor: A contractor who performs part of the work under the responsibility of the main contractor.
6- Quality Assurance: A management system that ensures the work is carried out according to specifications and standards.
7- Safety Plan: A mandatory document that specifies safety procedures on site to protect workers and equipment.
8- Method Statement: A document in which the contractor explains how each item of work will be carried out step by step.
